I can sell my Am4 configuration at a fair price, and it seems the budget covers upgrading to an am5 with a more affordable motherboard and 32GB RAM. In the meantime, I’m looking for suggestions on what to use instead. Any advice would be helpful?

Make sure you save up now—those B650 boards are quite limited, but they offer more capabilities, greater stability, and better compatibility with high-performance CPUs moving forward.

purchasing an A620 completely undermines the value of an AM5 with its lackluster I/O and mediocre VRMs. These boards often come with low VRM counts or poor heat performance, making them unsuitable for high-end builds. Avoid these outdated models like the B650m PG Lightning if it struggles with a 7950X—it’s essentially a waste of resources. The B650m HDV, on the other hand, can comfortably handle an overclocked 7950X, making it a better choice for serious enthusiasts.

You're considering upgrading to newer components, but the parts you chose don't really advance the system. Focusing on other improvements like more RAM or extra storage would be better. For gamers, the RX 6600 won't make a noticeable difference in performance.
