Hello, your problem appears to be new on this PC compared to the old one. The issue involves a delay of 4-5 seconds when logging into Windows to connect to the internet. This isn't typical behavior. You've reinstalled Windows, updated drivers, and removed bloatware, but the problem persists. Tried booting in safe mode with networking as well. Consider checking for background processes, driver conflicts, or hardware issues. Let me know if you'd like further guidance.

I don't understand why just a few seconds causes a problem; it's been happening on many devices.

For instance I have steam and some items when starting up, and I received data saying no internet connection. I assume this isn't typical, as a few others don’t experience this and I’m seeking ways to resolve it.

Bigger networks may need a short moment to give you the right local IP address. Confirm you're logged in as a valid user and that your MAC address matches an active device on your account. A response time of 4-5 seconds is typical, even over Wi-Fi. On home networks, this can be expected based on your equipment's age. If your Ethernet cable connects to the router, consider using it with your modem instead. You might also want to update your router’s firmware or reset it to its original settings.

I'm the sole member of my network and also reach the internet through a LAN cable. Recently, on my older PC, it used to automatically connect at startup without any warning triangle.

You're wondering if the Ethernet card needs power to maintain a connection with the router while the PC is off, and whether an LED indicator should be present to show its status. It's possible the LED isn't working, which could affect your connection. Checking the UEFI settings for power management options might help you enable this feature when the PC is turned off.

Not every LAN card remains active after the computer shuts down. I wouldn’t be concerned about that. It seems your NIC just needs a bit more time to start up than usual. If you encounter this issue, contact the manufacturer. It doesn’t seem like anyone here can provide a solution.
