Hi there, I've had this issue for a few months now, and have decided to ask for help rather than just deal with it. For some reason, whenever im playing an online game, my ethernet connection drops it recieve speed to 0Mbps and it freezes everything happening in the game for a couple seconds. This usually happens when enemies are on the screen, which is quite frustrating. This is a screenshot of my task manager from when its happening. I'm also using a Powerline adapter for my ethernet. Any help would be appreciated.

For testing purposes, you can connect a cable straight to your Router. However, this may indicate a software or application problem. Typically, the best solutions involve reinstalling the software, as these issues often stem from areas outside standard troubleshooting expertise, usually handled by the app or driver developers.

It depends on the context. A sustained load such as a download might affect performance differently than intermittent tasks.

I've already tried reinstalling the games, but nothing changes.

It might be a network driver issue. Consider reinstalling it.

They're currently using Intel-based drivers.

They verified them by visiting the manufacturer's site for the NIC. Then you removed the existing driver from the Control Panel and reinstalled the one you obtained.
