8.8.8.8 functions as a DNS server, not DHCP. DHCP operates locally.

Yeah, DHCP is automatically assigning those details, it's exhausting. But changing them shouldn't cause any issues.

He's facing an issue with DHCP, not DNS. This extra detail might not be relevant. Using 8.8.8.8 for DNS is better, though it doesn't solve the current problem.
