I've been facing an issue with my desktop a few days back, connected to my router via Ethernet. The internet connection isn't establishing properly. Windows reports an error saying "Ethernet doesn't have a valid IP configuration." I've attempted various fixes but haven't seen any improvement. Looking through forums, most people seem to have adjusted their DNS settings or something similar, which appears to be the root cause. I haven't made any changes recently. When the problem began, I was browsing old documents on my desktop and had just logged online about ten minutes prior. Interestingly, I've owned this setup for over a year without any internet issues before. My attempts included: turning the device on/off, restarting it, resetting router and modem, unplugging and plugging them back in, disconnecting the Ethernet cable, using a specific reset procedure from a YouTube video (netsh winsock reset, ipconfig commands), and the router's red blinking light appeared unexpectedly. Since nothing seemed to work, I thought it would be helpful to share my experience. Thank you for your assistance.

The issue stems from a faulty router. Try swapping it out—if your ISP provides it, they should fix it quickly; if not, purchase a replacement.
