My PC has lost internet connection since yesterday. It connects via Ethernet to the router, sees other devices on the network, and works with Ethernet-connected devices too. Wi-Fi is fine. I can also connect other devices through Ethernet to the same router without issues. I've tried several fixes: restarted router and PC, disabled and enabled network controller, cleared DNS, checked IP settings, reinstalled network drivers, and even swapped to a USB Ethernet adapter. Nothing worked. My PC is about 10 years old and runs Windows 10, so possible hardware issues are likely. If I can't resolve this, I might consider a fresh Windows install or upgrading to Windows 11.

Reset all network configurations completely: Execute this command in Command Prompt with administrative privileges—netsh int ip reset. Afterward, restart your computer. Assign a fixed IP address: Navigate to your network adapter settings and manually allocate an IP within the same range as your router (for example, if your router is 192.168.1.1, choose 192.168.1.50). Disable firewall and antivirus temporarily. Launch Windows in Safe Mode with Networking: If connectivity functions, a background application or driver may be responsible. Begin Windows installation from a Linux USB drive: Successful connection indicates hardware integrity, while issues point to Windows. If no improvement, reinstall or upgrade to Windows 11. This process often resolves persistent connectivity problems.
