According to the title, I reside in Australia and recently had a new house constructed. I observed that the Ethernet port was positioned above the wall outlet and shared the same stud (refer to the photos). If a high-power computer were connected to the outlet and the Ethernet cable plugged into it, wouldn't there be considerable EMI from the 240V power cord? Shouldn't this be in separate studs? The orange circle represents Ethernet, while the blue circle indicates the 240V supply.

If installed correctly, there’s no problem. The wall cables need to be shielded—covering both power and Ethernet. Your 240V should also be grounded. I’m not sure if you can achieve 10 Gbit over that line, but for regular 1 Gbit it should work fine. I’ve had combo outlets in the office where the wiring is even tighter and connections are reliable.
