Hey Folks! Long time lurker but first time poster here. I came for help! I recently updated my CPU from a Ryzen 1600 to a Ryzen 3600 on my ASrock B450M Pro4. To make it work I had to update my BIOS to the newest Vesion 3.9. Bofore that I cleared CMOS by plugging the boards battery. My CPU works fine but now my Ethernet Adapter is not active in Windows anymore, and my device manager shows some unidentifed divices. No sound when I plug the cable, no light flashing, no detection at all in windows itself. Before changing the CPU my system was running absolutley fine, and I did no changes in windows before the upgrade. I tired reinstalling the Realtek Lan Driver, but it said it was allready installed as supposed to be. I also tried reflashing the BIOS again, and also downgrading the BIOS to 3.6 version. I also checked my BIOS Ethernet related settings, but I can´t find anything specific. Maybe I am missing something here or something else obvious? Maybe there is a simple fix for my problem... Pls help. I would like to keep that board, last option is to by a PCI Lan Card but that will block my GPU airflow to some extend. My Specs Are: ASrock B450M Pro4 Ryzen 5 3500 (Ryzen 1600 when LAN was working) GTX 1080 Win 10 Pro Samsung 250 Evo 860 SSd 2x 8 GB G.Sklill Ageis 3200 Mhz I have hope, so maybe some internet strangers have the power! Restarting Windows and updating drivers... that fixes numerous issues...
The PCIe adapter doesn’t prevent the GPU because there’s a PCIe 2.0 x1 port above the PCIe 3.0 x16 GPU slot. Have you checked updating the driver with the Realtek version for the unknown device? Alternatively, remove the unidentified device and see if it detects it after restarting the system.
I locked down WIN10 but there’s no internet access at all. That makes me pretty confident it’s related to the BIOS.
