Estimated time to resolve your CPU issue.
Oh no—I received FedEx. But my ETA is still tomorrow, which gives me some hope. Since AMD covered the shipping costs, I’m not expecting too much trouble. I understand shipping times can change, so I’m not looking for answers there—just hoping for a quick fix at the factory.
The estimated time also changed once more. By chance, it was always scheduled for delivery on the same day, but it ended up being postponed to the following day.
I understand your frustration. You're right that they should know how long it would take to fix or replace the CPU.
Just thinking about how the AMD Store purchase went. Also, I’ve got a RAM kit from Newegg that came through UPS Smartpost and was handed over to my local USPS. It was supposed to arrive by the 12th, but the last update said it went to the USPS. Can you remind me of today’s date? /shipping rant
It was around 1.6v (1.58v with SS). It worked at -30c. Keeps being used every day. Also had delidding issues. Maybe the OP was unlucky?
AMD approved, so something definitely changed. Prior to AGESA updates, my XT usually displayed 1.5-1.525v without any changes from me. That’s quite odd. Yet you were actually setting it to 1.6v, which is impressive. I do this on my X5690 when I want it to shut down. Of course, it just restarts.
There it is. The chip operates at 4500mhz with extra voltage; it won’t scale properly. It requires even lower temperatures than what I set, likely around -50°C or below, or it will skip the frequency range.
