Hello. I've just assembled a new Plex media server. The cabinet features an internal LCD displaying the Aida sensor panel. You'd like to connect remotely without affecting the internal monitor or the full-screen sensor panel. Since the internal LCD is the only connected display, its Windows 11 Pro environment allows for remote access. You can use a remote desktop application or a browser-based solution to view it from outside the cabinet.

The issue is that standard desktop Windows permits only one user session simultaneously. Using a monitor dummy plug—connected to a video port and labeled as a monitor—can help. Run TeamViewer on the PC, designate the dummy as the main display, use the internal LCD as a secondary screen, and keep Aida running in full-screen mode. When connecting via TeamViewer, the LCD may briefly blink, allowing you to access the virtual desktop without affecting your gauges. There are software methods to simulate a monitor, though I haven’t tested them yet.

Windows isn't ideal for a Plex server because it generates a lot of unnecessary data and updates can interfere with performance. For an internal display, the benefits are minimal compared to the drawbacks.
