Hello, I'm facing some issues with my Crucial ddr5 Pro 2x24x2 6000 UDIM RAM. My PC freezes after just a few minutes, and programs close instantly without any warning. It's been two weeks trying to fix the memory settings in various modes—normal, manual, auto, XMP1, or XMP2—but nothing seems to work. I'm really stressed out and feel like I'm losing my patience. MBTonguerime Z690-a CPU: i9 12900kf RAM: Crucial ddr5 Pro 2x24x2. Could you help me adjust the timing settings? I don't understand many technical terms, so any guidance would be a huge relief. Thanks!

Which BIOS version are you using? The 24GB drives, particularly the Micron models, need specific memory training tweaks. If your system is on a previous BIOS version, those adjustments won’t apply and may lead to the problems you’re experiencing.

Didn't expect you to be using four sticks. Consider removing two and testing for stability with just two. Four DIMM configurations can function, though they tend to be more sensitive to setup. It's also worth noting that most Z690 boards lack strong support for 24/48GB DIMMs; some offer limited compatibility and can work to a degree, but the latest updates favor Z790 boards. Remember to quote so we can alert you.

I'll start with just two, then I'll wait for your response.

Hello, I resolved the issue with the RAM memory. According to Crucial, the voltage should be 1.1V, which they are correct about, but only when maintaining a speed of 4800Mhz. To run at 6000Mhz with XMP, I adjusted the voltage to 1.35 and the system became stable—no freezing and no crashes. The settings I used were: Case Latency: 50, RAS to CAS: 48, Precharge: 48, TRA: 96, DRAM VDD: 1.35v, DRAM VDDQ: 1.35v. It might be even better, but I’m happy with this configuration.
