others have shared their experiences with installing the P1 NVmE driver on Windows 7. When attempting the installation, all USB devices shut down, the keyboard freezes, and I was aiming to move my SSD from a 228GB drive to a 500GB NVMe for a dual or triple boot setup. However, it’s proving difficult. The main problem appears to be related to the PCI controller and a missing or unrecognizable PCI encryption/decryption driver.

I attempted that and it continues to damage the USB ports, then it starts looping in a blue screen of death.

Essentially, the issue is resolved. I reinstalled Linux Mint XFCE after hours of troubleshooting and now have Windows 7 running on a standard HDD or SSD—Nvme drives aren’t allowed. Windows 11 works fine on an Nvme drive as long as I don’t want Wi-Fi enabled. My system runs on an Asus B450 Prime m-k motherboard with a fully updated BIOS (except beta), a Ryzen 5 3400G, 16GB RAM at 2600MHz, a 550W PSU, and a Mediatek/Realtek Wi-Fi USB dongle. The specs are all set.
