ESO discontinues its subscription service.
I had no idea this would happen, but Zenimax has finally adjusted and is reducing the ESO subscription costs. I'm planning to check out the game at http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/...une-9th—it still seems like a pay-to-win situation.
It's slightly improved yet remains quite disappointing. It doesn't quite match its title.
Did you go through every beta phase? The final one really enhanced the experience, and people say it’s even stronger now. Despite that, even supporters think it doesn’t justify 15 dollars a month. The game should have been free-to-play originally, with small micro-transactions or charges for new material—content that makes sense financially. CIG is handling something similar with Star Citizen.
Uncertain about playing this game for free. They should address other issues beyond the payment system. The model isn’t terrible, but the cost of $60 plus a monthly fee of $15 doesn’t seem justified.
I purchased it and tried it during the initial launch period for about a month. As a solo player, the experience felt good for the lore and narrative, though it required a lot more effort to turn it into a multiplayer game.
