I consider placing ESE Anti-Virus on my SSD for quicker performance. Does this also safeguard my HDD?

What operating system are you planning to use? I'm assuming Windows 7 or 8.1, and Windows includes a built-in virus/spyware detector.

You can configure it to check the HDD too. I use ESET, but it often misses threats. It saved me several times when I was careless and did things I shouldn’t. If you only need Malwarebytes, you might not need an antivirus at all.

The built-in Windows security tool is unreliable. OP ESET should function properly.

Checking if placing it on the SSD safeguards the HDD and prevents viruses targeting the HDD.
