Error with T5500 RAM module.

Whenever I turn on my T5500, it reports a RAM issue on DIMM2. But I’m sure it’s okay since it works in both BIOS and Windows. I don’t understand what might be causing the problem.

Check your confidence—yes, the manual confirms it. The chipset backs it up too. The T3500 is compatible with Westmeres. If you're thinking about purchasing, that’s good to know. Would you like to confirm the T7500 setup as well?

The W3670 was originally built for a T3500, but it doesn't seem to fit well in a T5500 motherboard. I'm considering checking 5600 series CPUs instead. Can I attempt to overclock it? Also, do I need to reinstall the RAM when swapping CPUs?

It seems the T5500 uses a 5520 chipset, whereas the T3500's motherboard features an X58 chipset. This difference might be the reason.

Alright, then. Sorry for all of my questions, I have never used a Dell like this before. Also whenever I try to boot into windows it does says machine check exception. It does not boot into windows.

I'm looking for a fresh memory upgrade. Would be nice if Windows 10 handled ECC Regions well.
