Today my system won't start, and I'm repeatedly hitting the recovery clock until it hits maximum voltage, then entering emergency mode. Need some assistance?

What operating system are you running? Did you include a swap partition? And it seems you might have disabled CPU overclocking.

Kubuntu works without overclocking, and even after resetting the BIOS to its default configuration, there’s nothing. I installed Kubuntu via the installer using the standard settings, but it mentioned dependencies for a swap file.

Gave up and reinstalled Ubuntu 16, hoping it won’t happen again.
