Hello,
I own a 1TB external drive (SP Armor) that was encrypted with USB Secure 2.2.0.0 a few years ago. I kept many .fbr files on it, and everything functioned properly. Recently, the USB cable was accidentally removed from the laptop, and now the USB Secure feature won’t let me access the drive. It just freezes. I’ve used Tenorshare 4DDiG to recover some files, but none of them are .fbr.

Could there be any software that would help recover those .fbr files? I’m expecting a complicated recovery due to the encryption being corrupted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If breaking encryption were simple, its usefulness would be minimal, wouldn't it?

You'd definitely like that. However, in actuality, there are several software options to address it. Just like any tool, it isn't completely secure. Thanks for your assistance!

And you've discovered something suitable for your encryption needs?
If that's the case, you might want to think about using it again later.

Absolutely, I won’t be using that “encryption” again. I just need to make the best of what’s available.

I believe the issue likely lies not with the encryption technique itself, but with how that drive is being utilized as the primary storage for specific files.
