Error with disk cloning process and no successful backup.
You're facing an issue where the source HDD isn't transferring data properly to the destination WD Nas drive. The problem might stem from mismatched storage types or insufficient space. Try verifying the drive sizes and ensuring enough free space on both drives. Also, check if the cloning software supports 3TB to 4TB transfers and consider using a different method like a wired connection for better performance.
I’m really worried about this. The new drive seems to be working, but the source is still causing issues. Did you think there was a problem with the source itself?
They both handle writing well when moving files, but sometimes larger files block the process. It could be a dead sector or similar issues. I’m assuming the source is fully available since the target can’t write, but I’m not sure about the exact steps from my image.
Source and Target performed similarly in terms of Crystal Mark scores, with no issues detected by Windows chkdsk. The process initially ran smoothly at 150MB/s but later slowed significantly, dropping to near zero or occasionally struggling with just a few MB/s.
