Error with Asus ROG Strix Z490-A VGA LED lighting system
Hey there, so my system isn't starting up properly. I disassembled it a few days back to clean it up, but I didn’t touch the motherboard much except for connectors, the AIO, and the GPU. After putting everything back together and trying to boot again, it still won’t work. The motherboard shows LED error phases. It clears the first two phases without issue, but gets stuck on the VGA error light. I’ve tried resetting the BIOS via USB (no corruption), re-seating the GPU, checking RAM, and reseating NVMe. All other errors are cleared except the VGA one. Anyone have a tip? That would be awesome!
There is no video output detected. I haven’t attempted to reinstall the CMOS. I’m considering trying to reinstall the CMOS battery next.
Once the CMOS battery was replaced, the VGA issue persisted. Additionally, the "BOOT" indicator stayed lit. lol
It could relate to BIOS updates. For my ASUS, I’m using a UK and US BIOS option—make sure to double-check everything before installing.
I’m completely confident I installed the correct BIOS for my board.
