It should work with a valid key. Have you tested several keys yet? Do you need to purchase these items, or are you purchasing them? If the purchased key fails, reach out to support.

He purchased it at a shop for roughly 150 euros. After several tries, he returned to the same store and changed the product key to a new one. He hoped this would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

Interesting...patches from activation patchers usually last between three to six months before Windows notices. Reach out to Microsoft for assistance.

Contact MS support immediately. If he provided a valid proof of purchase, they will resolve the issue. Ensure he didn’t attempt to activate it on another device. Has he changed any hardware?

You're checking if the phone number is correct. Microsoft is a well-established firm, so it's likely they have someone ready to assist with their tech support line.
