Error unknown ffff red dead redemption 2
Error unknown ffff red dead redemption 2
Good morning, I'm preparing for the second mission. During the scene where Arthur and Javier ride a horse, the unknown error ffff appeared. I adjusted the graphic settings and touched something in the shadows; when I left it in default, the error stopped. Later, while adjusting configurations to optimize the game, I encountered the same issue again. I chose to leave everything in default for now. I'm not getting any errors yet, but I'd like to fix this so I can improve the game a bit. I hope you can help me. I don't understand why this error happens.
Please provide FULL PC Specs. Complete with full details. Do you have the game on STEAM ? If yes, then first try to verify the integrity of the game cache files.

Also, what graphic settings are you using ?
If using VULKAN, try changing the API to DirectX12 in the graphic settings. Vulkan may sometimes have serious memory leak issues and the error here seems to have something to do with the graphic memory filling up.
But without knowing your system specs, it's hard to come to any conclusion. How much VRAM amount is there on your GPU ?
System specifications must always include any relevant driver, hardware, or performance details. Avoid using DxDiag reports as they provide excessive, unhelpful data. Posting a DxDiag instead of a full system spec can discourage others from contributing.
