It's unclear why it isn't used, since it matches the same speeds as the T2U. Generally, laptop antennas perform better at receiving signals than USB dongles.

I wrote this because my internet isn’t functioning well on my laptop after the storage change. It’s odd—I’m able to play WoW without issues, but sites keep failing to load.

Apologies for the confusion. I realized I missed the part about checking the USB adapter to see if the on-board issue was the cause. I usually assume a DNS problem when some functions work while others don’t. It might be that WoW has pre-set IP addresses so it doesn’t require DNS configuration. It’s strange it happens after reinstalling, especially since something could have altered the DNS settings. I’m feeling quite puzzled by this, given how it impacts both adapters and all networks.

I attempted to switch the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, but nothing changed. It seems I already had all the necessary software before moving my hard drive. If I run out of options, I might erase everything and reinstall Windows to check if it resolves the issue.

It might help to test in different browsers such as Firefox. Could be those extensions or security programs affecting performance.

I'll test Firefox, though I question if it's an extension since I synced from my Google account and had no problems before. Also, I tried in incognito mode—correct me if I'm mistaken, because it seems to block all add-ons—and it didn’t help either.

Last night I experienced around five BSODs on my laptop and thought about reinstalling Windows, but the problem persists with Chrome. It seems to work just fine in Firefox, so the issue is limited to Chrome. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome without signing in or syncing add-ons and bookmarks, it doesn’t resolve the issue.
