About a month ago I assembled a new PC with the following components: CPU – RYZEN 7900X3D, GPU – Radeon 7900XTX, RAM – 4x16 GB TridentZ 5 RGB, Motherboard – MAG B650 Tomahawk, Power Supply – 1000w EVGA 80+ Platinum, Storage – 2 x 2TB Sabrent Rocket 4. The issue started with artifacts during games. After some investigation, we identified the problem as either the motherboard or CPU. I replaced the CPU and it resolved, but the PC still wouldn’t boot. I then purchased a new motherboard to address the artifacts, though I’m still unable to get the system to start. I’ve cleared the CMOS, cleaned the components, replaced the CPU again, tried various RAM setups, but consistently see the same CPU and DRAM error lights on the board.

It seems there might be a mix-up. I didn't receive the new motherboard or the BIOS update for the tomahawk yesterday.

Try a single RAM module. Have you cleared the CMOS? Replace the CPU with fresh paste, even if you claim to have done this—some motherboards are quite sensitive, and I've experienced cases where it took around ten times longer to properly re-seat the CPU so it wouldn't malfunction.

I checked closely and noticed bent pins in the motherboard slot. Attempted to repair them but had no success. I'm planning to test whether the new motherboard arriving tomorrow will function properly. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.

Not great, but the bent pins can be repaired. They might work if you carefully bend them back again, making sure they fit the socket. Your new motherboard should be fine tomorrow—just give it a try.

Adjusting the RAM settings allowed me to start up using just one stick in the 1B slot. All four of my sticks functioned there. Yet, none performed well in the 1A slot, nor did they work with sticks in the 1B and 2B slots. The 2A and 2B configurations didn’t support a single stick setup. However, it worked with a stick in both the 1A and 1B slots.

When dealing with hardware configurations and the wide variety of motherboards, things can sometimes fail despite being intended for use. Usually, computer setups remain reliable, but occasionally they encounter issues.
