It might be challenging but could you try launching a VM on your OS X system to view a .dmg file, then run the game inside and capture the session?

It's feasible, though it would cause significant delays.

Sure, you're correct. You'll need a virtualization platform that supports macOS, such as VMWare Workstation. However, it's not free. Other options exist, but I'm not aware of them. VirtualBox claims to support this, though I haven't been able to use it successfully before. As Dawson Wehage noted, performance could be an issue, and some games might not run properly if the VM lacks sufficient graphics power.

How much speed do you think it will be? It’s hard to name the game because it’s a mobile title with a client running on Mac OS X early on, and I can’t open it on my PC (that’s why I’m using a virtual machine). Still, it has decent graphics. Specs: Intel Core i7-6850K, 32GB DDR4-3000, MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming Z, Samsung 960 Pro, 512GB SSD. I have top-tier hardware, but if it remains slow, I might skip trying since recording would be pointless.

Could we simplify the process by running a virtualized mobile operating system, akin to Bluestacks?

When I tried running Minecraft using VmWare and VirtualBox, it performed poorly. Even after installing Direct3D, the experience was still bad.

Certainly other options don’t fit at all

Minecraft operates via OpenGL, and adding D3D doesn't help much. With virtual machines like Virtual Box, it's unlikely you'll find a simple method to utilize your GPU.
