Error on blue screen of death with exception not managed and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, indicating a critical system crash.
Hello, good morning. Afternoons or nights. I recently purchased a computer online a little over a week ago. The seller is reputable and has positive reviews, but since the purchase was made online, I’m sharing my experience. A few days later, after about a week of use, the PC with factory parts started showing unusual issues.
Initially, the first problem was that the screen would freeze during simple tasks, which resolved with a forced restart. Now it seems more serious, and I’m experiencing the blue screen of death (BSOD). The first BSOD occurred when I tried to launch a low-resource game from Steam after installing it, and I wasn’t able to complete the setup before the issue appeared again. After about 4 to 5 hours of use while performing various tasks, the BSOD returned.
Over time, I’ve noticed that BSODs seem to happen more frequently, especially after prolonged use. In BlueScreenView, I see entries like kmode_exception_not_handled and irql_not_less_or_equal, both pointing to ntoskrnl.exe as the cause.
Here are my PC specifications:
- Ryzen 5 4600g with Radeon Vega 7
- 2x8GB RAM
- ASROCK A520-HDV motherboard
- 480GB SSD
- Windows 11 (needs reinstallation, but the error continues)
I’ve attached some screenshots from BlueScreenView for your reference.
Thank you for your time.
Hello, good morning. Afternoons or nights. I bought a computer online a little over a week ago. The seller was reputable and had good reviews, though it was purchased online. A few days later, after about a week of use, the PC with factory parts started showing unusual symptoms.
The first issue was that the screen would freeze during simple tasks, which resolved with a forced restart. Now it seems more serious, causing a blue screen of death (BSOD). The first BSOD occurred when I tried to launch a low-resource game from Steam after installing it, and I was surprised because I hadn’t finished setting up the game. Later, after about 4 to 5 hours of use while performing tasks, the BSOD returned.
I noticed that after prolonged or short periods of operation, the system tends to trigger the BSOD. In BlueScreenView, I see errors like kmode_exception_not_handled and irql_not_less_or_equal, both pointing to ntoskrnl.exe.
My PC specifications are: Ryzen 5 4600g with Radeon Vega 7, 2x8GB RAM, ASROCK A520-HDV motherboard, 480GB SSD, and Windows 11 (needs reinstallation despite the error).
I have attached some screenshots from BlueScreenView.

3 bugchecks identified
1 caused by an access violation (incorrect memory address)
1 occurred because a breakpoint was configured without a debugger
1 resulted from a driver attempting to access a paged-out memory location
For these issues, I recommend updating the drivers from your motherboard vendor. Focus on the CPU chipset driver and any specific drivers for your storage devices. Running crystaldiskinfo.exe can help assess drive health, verify firmware versions, and check for upgrades.
Since all errors stemmed from using a bad memory address, updating the BIOS to optimize default memory timings is advisable. After rebooting and running memtest86, confirm that your memory timings are accurate.
Updating chipset drivers may resolve problems related to how pagefile.sys is saved. Otherwise, a debugger is needed to examine actual minidump files. Consider deleting old memory dumps and proceeding with BIOS and driver updates, then providing a new dump if issues persist.
