Ryzen 7 5700X with PBO off and Trident Z Royal 3600 C18 is running smoothly on most tasks, but the drive keeps disconnecting unexpectedly. It shows issues like inability to initialize or read-only states even after changing slots. No BSOD or POST errors appear. I've checked SMART status and performed a full scan—no bad sectors detected. The problem persists across different settings. Have you considered checking for firmware updates or contacting support for further diagnostics? It’s frustrating when the drive behaves strangely without clear signs of failure.

Consider testing another cable occasionally. A faulty cable is possible.

Consider reinstalling the drive, as it might not have been placed correctly. Start the computer using BIOS by rapidly pressing delete, then verify it appears there.

I adjusted it numerous times, even swapping the slots. The BIOS recognized the drive.

Right now, after you've already tried fixing things like reseating the drive, switching slots, and running diagnostics, I believe filing a warranty claim is the best option. Moving the slot suggests the problem isn’t with the CPU or PCIe controller or the slot itself. Reinserting the drive indicates it’s not just loose. The self-tests aren’t revealing clear failures, but there’s definitely something wrong.

Thank you for your ideas, I'll forward the drive for the warranty claim and check if they can locate the problem.
