Error occurred on 100% working GPU with HLELP ME
I tested the GTX 1070 for an hour on two computers. It functioned properly when plugged into my potato PC (HP Pro 3400 MT). On my other PC (EliteDesk 800 G1), it worked fine with VGA, but the GPU didn’t display anything. I used two PSUs and connected a hard drive to one of them; it booted but the GPU still didn’t show. I also tried using UEFI only and disabled legacy support, but nothing worked. The issue seems related to an old motherboard—someone mentioned the GTX 1070 is UEFI-only. What should I do?
Are you seeing the 1070 boot up with two power supplies? The PSU connected to your GPU must use a 24-pin bridge—either a dedicated bridge or a paperclip—to allow the secondary PSU to feed power to the card. You can't connect the GPU directly to just one PSU. If the 24-pin isn’t bridged on the GPU’s power supply, it won’t deliver power, so the system won’t start.
I connect the HDD to the same PSU so power reaches both the GPU and the HDD, ensuring it's operational.
Does your motherboard feature a unique PCIe port for GPU testing?
