Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X GPU: MSI Radeon RX 6800 XT Gaming X Trio 16G Motherboard: MSI X670-P Pro WiFi AMD AM5 ATX Motherboard RAM: Crucial 128GB (4 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 4800 (PC5 38400) Desktop Memory CPU Cooler: Deepcool AK620 Zero Dark High-Performance CPU Cooler Case: Cooler Master Mystique 632S Mid Tower ATX Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Hard Drive PSU: Corsair RM1000x - 1000 Watt I recently built this PC and faced several issues. I started with Windows 10 and one RAM stick. The system would show clock watchdog blue screens during updates. I turned off Global C-State and reinstalled the OS. Now I encounter Driver Overrun Stack Buffer BSOD. Removing the GPU resolved the problem. Any suggestions?

Is the processor brand brand new and have you installed the most recent firmware?

For the memory, you can execute memtest86+ from a USB stick one at a time. If you own another GPU, test it too to check for a lemon GPU. Make sure your system uses the newest BIOS and all connections are secure with the hardware properly placed.

I started by updating the BIOS. The whole PC came apart and everything had to be put back in place. It was really stressful. I wish I’d chosen an Intel system instead.

After removing the GPU, the system felt more stable. I plan to fully update Windows 10 and then attempt to reinstall it.

I found a solution by updating Windows 10 fully, even though I had no graphics card and just one RAM stick. After installing the updates, I added the remaining RAM and finally installed the GPU. It worked perfectly—building computers has become more challenging than before.
