Error message appears during Windows installation
My Acer Predator laptop has been in use for 1 to 2 years. Recently, I began noticing occasional BSOD errors, happening roughly every three days. I decided to reinstall Windows, which caused some issues during the process, so I reinstalled it using a USB drive.
While installing Windows via USB, I kept encountering BSODs with various errors such as fltmgr.sys and KMode_exception, among others that I hadn’t recorded. After retrying the installation 10 to 15 times without internet access, I installed Windows without any problems.
I updated my BIOS from version 15.17 to 17.0 and restarted my computer, but the BSOD still occurred every time I launched the PC. I searched YouTube for solutions but found nothing effective.
I also installed Windows 24H2 from a USB drive, but faced driver detection issues on my SSD. I tried removing RAM one at a time, but it didn’t resolve the problem.
can you determine if the problem is completely resolved without purchasing a new ssd?
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Here are the details for your Acer Predator laptop: the model and SKU are available. I set up Windows 24H2 from a USB drive. Where did you get the installer for the operating system? I encountered problems with drivers during the installation. It's recommended to run the OS in offline mode (no internet) and then install all necessary drivers using the latest versions through an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator. Are you using 2xM.2 drives?
