Hello, just installed a new MSI X570s edge max WiFi motherboard with 5950x CPU 4080 M.S.I. Ventus OC edition, 128GB Trident Z G skills, 1200W Platinum power supply. It’s been running smoothly so far, but I checked the Event Viewer just in case since it’s a brand new system. I got a WHEA-Logger Event ID: 18, reported by the processor core error source under Machine Hierarchy. Fortunately, after three days of operation it hasn’t happened yet—though it did occur while the PC was asleep. I stress-tested everything thoroughly, used multiple apps, and even ran a benchmark on 3Dmark Time Spy with a 23563 score. All drivers are up to date, from mouse and keyboard to graphics cards. No other critical issues have appeared. Summary: How can I prevent this from happening again? I had an older PC before, but these errors were rare—never found a fix. I’m trying to avoid them now on this new build. (P.S. Added pictures, but no guarantee it worked.)
