Error in ACPI BIOS configuration.
Error in ACPI BIOS configuration.
Hey! I just got the Ryzen 5 5600X to replace my older 2600x. Things aren’t going well yet. After installing, I keep seeing a BSOD with the ACPI BIOS ERROR code. My motherboard is an MSI X470 Gaming Plus with the newest BIOS. I’ve got the latest chipset drivers and everything ready. I reinstalled Windows 10, upgraded to W11, but nothing changed. Even bought a new MSI B550 A-pro from the store, which claims it’s compatible with Ryzen 5000 series. The salesperson said it would work. I also got some LPX Vengeance sticks for extra RAM, just in case. Tried flashing the BIOS, changing settings, and even switched to ECO mode on the 5600X. I changed the power management plan too. Still getting the same error with the new board. I’m back to my old X470. Any advice or tips for the X470 would be super helpful! My setup includes MSI X470 Gaming Plus R5 2600x, Vega 64 Sapphire 16GB, LPX Vengeance (or HyperX Fury 16GB), and a RM 750X PSU.
Agreed. But I’ll mention that even after installing the new chip, some users (like many others) still used Corsair Vengeance sticks and those with Ryzen often didn’t perform well together. It’s hard to track down all the threads that pointed to this as the main cause. If it works, I’d start with the Hyper X sticks and if it doesn’t, just swap back to Corsairs.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've experimented with the HyperX, placing both sticks in various slots. I only tried one stick at a time and checked all slots, but the outcome remained the same. Even more frustrating, I can't post with just two HyperX sticks. However, I return to the store and exchange the Mobo with the new RAM. Appreciate your help!
