Hi everyone, I recently bought a used RX 570. It looks good and runs fine until yesterday when the screen went black and the sound stopped while the fans still ran. This is the first time it has happened before. The PC is actually pretty warm in normal use, but this GPU feels different. Windows says it's live kernel events lately. After looking at some stuff online, I think it might be related to that card. I tested a lot of benchmarks with FurMark and didn't get any errors like "live kernel" while running them. It feels totally random so far. I will leave screenshots here. I already cleaned the drivers with DDU. (Sorry my Windows is in Italian but it should make sense) I turned off a smart task that automatically boosts the GPU and CPU by AMD software on github. https://imgur.com/fIZMQVH View: https://imgur.com/fIZMQVH https://imgur.com/OHnDQUf View: https://imgur.com/OHnDQUf https://imgur.com/v63nbK0 View: https://imgur.com/v63nbK0 Thanks in advance!

Windows thinks restarts are bad things for hardware. But sometimes when you have an unexpected restart, Windows shows up in the system logs. Do any of those messages say that your display stops working? Or does something like this happen: almost four years ago it was a great time to be here and everything went fast. You're way more likely to hit these things than I am. How many other parts are there on this PC?

Hello, thanks so much for your reply. My computer specs are this: a Ryzen 3200G processor, a B450 MSI Gaming Max motherboard, and an RX570 graphics card. Also, something new that I just found out is that sometimes the error happens and Rainmeter stops working completely. (See the pictures below). https://imgur.com/411NCRH View: https://imgur.com/411NCRH https://imgur.com/411NCRH View: https://imgur.com/411NCRH This is not always true, but it happens a lot. Rainmeter is just a piece of software that lets you put widgets on your desktop. Could this be the issue? Edit: I plan to turn off Rainmeter for a few days and check again for errors. Edit2: Today one error came up with nothing else, just Kernel error number 1a8. (Error 1a8) https://imgur.com/rRBYJmv View: https://imgur.com/rRBYJmv Edit3: I noticed that the PCI slot wasn't closed, and I also swapped the power supply GPU cable to make sure everything is fine. Edit4: Just finished some tests at 1080p using FurMark, and no errors happened during those times while the temperatures are good too.
