Upon beginning Forza Horizon 4 I encounter a message stating "Graphics card doesn't support DirectX12," referred to as "Error FH501." This seems irrelevant given my graphics card is a Radeon 6700XT. I haven’t faced this problem in any other title. It’s worth mentioning I’m using Windows 11 Developer preview and launching the game via the Xbox launcher. Although I doubt it’s tied to Windows 11, since similar issues appear on Windows 10 as well. I haven’t attempted a reinstall yet; I’ll consider it later if it doesn’t resolve. System details: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 6700XT, 32GB RAM, AsRock X570 Taichi, 1TB Corsair MP300, 2TB Samsung OM9A1, 750W beQuiet PSU.

I believe you've reviewed the Digistatement article on the Forza Horizon 4 issue. If you need help with the server settings, just let me know.

I understand. That didn’t help much. Here’s what I found:
1. The drivers are current.
2. No game list exists for adding Forza.
3. I don’t own a laptop.

Forza operates smoothly on its own or when connected via Steam or similar platforms.

Typically you download the app via the Microsoft Store, but with Windows 11 you can get it directly from the Xbox app.

Would you like to know alternative methods to execute the program? I'm checking if the FH4 launch might have issues.

Apart from the Windows Store, I’m not sure. It’s unclear if running it from there is possible anymore. I’ll need to give it a shot.

Windows Store and Xbox Game Store share the same functionality. Downloading a game on one platform works identically on the other. It seems the issue might be related to the Windows 11 Dev channel or compatibility with AMD graphics cards, even though I had no problems with my GTX 1080.

I’m experiencing this problem now. Just a minute I was enjoying Forza, then I shut down my PC, went out with friends, came back, turned it on again, but the game still won’t load—it says my graphics card doesn’t support DX12 when it was working just an hour ago? That’s not right!

I'm still struggling to find a fix. I gave up on it and then purchased FH5, which has resolved the problem. I might try again this weekend to check if it's still an issue.
