Today I installed xbox controller drivers for my Logitech f710 because Windows wasn't loading the plug and play ones properly. I tried to install them manually via Device Manager, but the system crashed immediately, showing some error messages before going black. I turned off the PC and restarted it; it worked fine once. After removing all the drivers, I restarted again and everything functioned correctly. However, the event log on my AMD display driver reported warnings about failed and recovered drivers, plus a kernel power error after restarting. I ran benchmark tests on Heaven Benchmark and a 1-hour stability test on AIDA64. This time I reinstalled the drivers through Device Manager, adding the Xbox 360 receiver drivers, and no crashes occurred. It seems there might be a driver problem with the gamepad or something else. The latest AMD drivers note that some users still face black screens or system hangs during long gaming sessions. AMD is keeping an eye on these reports. Since I wasn't gaming, it's unclear if this is connected. Bulld : CPU : AMD A8 6600MHz | RAM: MSI A88X M-35 | PSU: Bitfenix Formula Gold 550W | GPU: AMD XFX GTS XXX RX 580 4GB | System: Windows 10 Pro 1909 (installed 3/6/20 after PSU change) | SSD: Kingston A400 120GB | HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM | HDD2: HSTG 500GB, 2"5 model 5400RPM | Temp on full stress in AIDA64: GPU 81°C max, CPU 49°C max, Temp 31°C max.

It seems those AMD drivers have been having issues recently. As long as it doesn’t happen again, I wouldn’t be too concerned.

I wasn't even participating, but I'm hoping it's just a driver problem then.
