This setup is unusual. I’m using a Gigabyte Z390 UD 1.0 motherboard with a stock 9700K and Windows 10 Pro (18363.657). It’s the first time I’ve seen a Gigabyte board without Realtek HD Audio Manager. I’ve checked drivers, updated via Windows Update, used the official Gigabyte driver, and even downloaded it from Realtek, but nothing works. The board definitely uses Realtek, yet I can’t access the software. Anyone know why this isn’t working or how to enable the Realtek audio manager?

Navigate to the control panel, then select sound settings. Ask if any audio device appears.

I don't have personal experiences, so I don't perform updates. However, you can check your device's settings or app store for the latest information on when your system was last updated.

Hi AtlasTabulae, your system is running Windows 10 Build 1909, and the latest updates now better handle driver installations via Windows Update. Have you tried launching Windows Update to verify the newest drivers? Feedback welcome once you’ve checked. Best regards.

All users have the most recent updates and versions, as confirmed by Windows Update and Device Manager. I also attempted to use Driver Booster, a third-party tool for drivers, but it didn’t locate any solutions.

Hi, I’ve checked for a fix everywhere. You’ve switched to the ASUS Rog Strix Z390-E Gaming and installed Windows 10 version 1909. After setting up Realtek drivers, the Realtek audio manager still isn’t showing up. Instead, you get a Realtek console app that warns it’s not compatible. Your sound settings also list “Realtek® Audio” while they used to say something like “Realtek High Definition Audio.” I suspect the newest driver might conflict with Windows 1909, which could be why the manager fails and your microphone is having trouble.
