I just put in my nzxt z73 aio cooler. I recently upgraded my CPU to AM5 and had to wait for some parts from nzxt before I could install the aio cooler. In the meantime, I used a CPU air cooler and everything functioned properly. Today I received my AM5 parts from nzxt and replaced the air cooler with the z73. The PC isn’t showing anything and there’s a red light on the DRAM with error code C5. HELP PLEASE!
The instructions mention using a tool like a screwdriver between the pins, but it seems there aren't two pins to hold. You've already tried reseating the RAM and booting one at a time without success. The pressure issue likely relates to how the components are seated or secured during installation, even if you think you did it correctly. Double-check the placement and ensure everything is properly aligned.
Applying pressure often occurs when not enough force is applied. The result is the pads at the bottom of the CPU rubbing against the pins in the socket. If it functions with the air cooler but not the AIO, the pins might not be making proper contact. On the other hand, taking the CPU out during cooler replacement could mean a bent pin is causing the DRAM light.
I don’t see any bent pins or signs of damage. I’ll attempt to reconnect the air cooler again to confirm it works, so I can be sure no harm was done.
