Error encountered with Chrome (timed out)
Hello, I recently purchased an old system with an i7 870 processor on an ASUS P7H55 motherboard. After installing Windows 10, the network connection failed to establish properly. To resolve this, I adjusted the speed&duplex settings in the adapter to 100mbps full duplex. The issue was fixed, and the internet worked well everywhere except Chrome. It functioned correctly on Edge and Firefox, but Chrome would show an error like "site can't be reached (err_timed_out)". I tried several troubleshooting steps from Google, such as clearing DNS, using a different DNS provider, resetting Chrome settings, and reinstalling the browser, but nothing resolved the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
The Chrome browser version is currently outdated. Continuously reinstalling the same version won’t improve performance. Consider downloading a portable version instead. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/g...e_portable There might be a proxy or VPN extension active, but it’s unlikely to be a browser hijacker since blocking internet access doesn’t make much sense.
It is a fresh install of windows 10, and downloaded the latest version of chrome. Now, that i updated the edge to the newest version, it stopped working as well, with the same error. The portable chrome from your link also doesn't work. So the only browser which works is the default edge that came with windows.
