I have an ASUS TUF Gaming B550M Plus running BIOS version 2006. I'm having trouble upgrading it. I've tried adjusting step by step, but the same error persists even when switching to a newer BIOS version. They also list different dates for the same BIOS release, but nothing has changed. Any suggestions would be helpful. Please let me know if you need more details.

Only change the file name when using USB flashback; if you're running the UEFI BIOS directly for the flash, don't rename it. Even if it indicates a newer BIOS version, the problem might not be there.

It’s just telling me the selected file isn’t a UEFI BIOS. I kept trying without renaming it and got the same outcome. I double-checked to get the right BIOS for my motherboard, but I’m really confused. I’m doing this because I’ve been experiencing frequent crashes, and the BIOS is already two years old.

It seems it needs to be installed from a FAT 32 drive, and it’s functioning now.
