Looking to upgrade to a cryo cooler soon. Current temps hit 98 degrees across all cores, but performance cores run smoother at 60-62. Everyone loves those glory shots!

I used this chip before returning it and attempted to push its speed with just an NH-D15. Others on forums mentioned keeping temperatures under 90°C for the cores. You may need to adjust turbo settings based on how each core handles overclocking. Some BIOS systems provide a rating scale indicating how easily a core can be overclocked.

I mostly relied on it for gaming and AutoCAD/engineering programs have paused for school, which didn’t work well. Usually, my 9800X performed better than this one.

Have a quick thought on the OC, maybe you can assist? It holds steady until it reaches a sudden full load, I’m not sure what adjustments should improve stability. Voltage should stay around 1.3. With AVX it drops to 3.7–3.8 then rises again to 4–4.2.

Do you have any AVX or AVX-512 adjustments? You may need to tweak values from -6 to -8, particularly if you're experiencing crashes. For consistency, have you turned off any power-saving settings (I don’t remember their names, and I’m on the go)?

Yes, you're interpreting the AVX behavior correctly. It begins around 3.7-3.8 and then rises again to 4-4.2, with everything being disabled during that period. You might be confused about how AVX offset works—it only affects performance at the start or under certain conditions.

When using AVX loads, the offset modifies the CPU clock multiplier—such as changing a multiplier from 46x to 47x or adjusting a frequency from 4600MHz to 4700MHz. An -8 offset would shift it from 46x to 38x. This adjustment aids in managing heat output and stability.
