I received my friend's Toshiba Satellite laptop to reinstall Windows 10. I agreed it would be straightforward. After creating a Windows 10 installation disk and placing it on my own laptop, the setup went smoothly. When I tried the same process on his laptop, files copied quickly but occasionally triggered the error code 0x80070015. This issue also appeared when installing Windows 7 from install disks. Additionally, if I ran the installer without restarting the PC, the hard drive disappeared from the list of items to install. Finally, attempting to format the disk via the command prompt resulted in an error and the disk no longer appeared in the list.
