I understood it. I was unsure about upgrading to Windows 10 for this particular issue. After switching to Windows 10, launching Rocket League always results in a black screen. Some suggested using Steam as an administrator, but that didn’t help either. I don’t want to wait for a fix because I’m really hooked on the game. The only choice seems to be going back to Windows 7. Why did this happen? Also, if I remove the game from Steam and reinstall it, will my saved progress remain? I’m not sure if that would work, but when I hover over the Rocket League window, it displays “TA game 32 bit directX 9.” It’s unclear why it’s using DirectX 9, perhaps because it’s not very demanding.

Open the game files, create a backup of your save, then reinstall the game.

Sure, make sure to update the drivers first. If that doesn’t help, try reinstalling the game. Solutions that worked on Windows 7 or 8 should also work on Windows 10. Updating rather than a clean install can sometimes cause issues. Just like computers, be careful not to expose them to water...

Check the game cache for any problems, it resolves the issue where games fail to start. Right-click the game, select Properties, and it will appear under Local Files.

Certainly, I might have forgotten to say that earlier.

I don't understand how I can assist, but I'm sure Rocket League functions well on Windows 10. Since Windows 10 is based on Windows 8.1, it should work with it. I've enjoyed Windows 10 a lot and noticed a noticeable improvement in CPU-intensive games, especially ARMA 3. I'm eager for the upcoming DX12 update. I had to reinstall some games from my Steam library to get them working properly. There were issues with ARMA 2, ARMA 2 OA, and certain DLCs like Mortal Kombat X. It's best to check each game you own and ensure you have everything needed for a smooth setup.

This phrase doesn't convey much meaning on its own. Could you provide more context? I need to understand what you're referring to for a better response.

It functions well on your end. You might want to test the games by using compatibility mode.
