Hello, the error message you're seeing when installing Windows 10 is common. Have others faced this issue?

Make sure you have the newest drivers installed before beginning the setup. Remove any security programs that might interfere with Windows 10 installation; if they are the issue, try booting from a USB drive or disk containing Windows 10. Choose the UEFI option if your system supports it and it’s a newer version.

You asked about the newest drivers, specifically for Nvidia. Regarding removing the Windows security software, here’s how you can proceed. Also, I see you’re looking into updating the system—your note about the update process is clear.

All users. I don't have your details, but you need the newest drivers for: Printer Keyboard/mouse (if you use these additional programs, otherwise nothing to do as you have the standard Windows drivers and they're sufficient). Graphics card (Nvidia, Intel, AMD) Sound card/chip Motherboard chipset SATA/RAID controller (if your motherboard includes an extra one) USB controller (if your motherboard includes any added ones) etc.

Thanks for the update on GoodBytes. I refreshed the graphics card driver and motherboard chipset, and there are no additional issues. After clearing the Windows security updates and restarting, all updates reappeared. Auto-update was turned off. I also attempted to install Windows 10 from a USB flash drive downloaded from Microsoft. The registration key worked initially, but during installation an error (0x8007025d) appeared. I found solutions on Microsoft’s forum and tried them. The problem resolved after following the steps provided.

I own two units: one running Windows 7 and another a notebook on Windows 8.1. The notebook upgraded smoothly and functioned normally again. The desktop has been problematic, requiring several troubleshooting steps—such as replacing the SSD drive, removing all drives except essential ones, uninstalling Norton, using check disks, updating the SSD to the latest Magician standard, and performing a full reset via W10 Recovery Options. This last step resolved everything.

Currently, I’m busy reinstalling my applications. _Yippee!!!_ It seems there’s an app interfering with Edge and Cortana, preventing them from loading or accessing the web. Since the hardware remains unchanged across all previous attempts, it’s hard to point to a specific cause. My advice for anyone facing similar issues: always back up important data first, then perform a complete reset from the beginning. This should save you a lot of time. Good luck!

There was no success, but the same error keeps appearing: Windows can't install the needed files. Verify that all required files are present and try restarting the installation again. Error code 0x8007025D has been reset multiple times.
