I attempted to set up Windows using the Windows 10 media creation tool, but it failed. The issue occurred when trying it directly on Windows 8.1, and I encountered this error message after logging in.

Check if your system is running Windows 8.1 32 bit or 64 bit, use the appropriate tool for updating either version. Create a media creation tool tailored to your OS version and keep the product key ready. Visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10, choose the correct version, and click create installation media for another PC. Choose your language settings, then select the Windows 10 edition you wish to upgrade to (Windows 8.1 - Windows 10 Home or Windows 8.1 Pro - Windows 10 Pro). For architecture, pick Both. Select a USB flash drive, press next, and wait for the process to complete. If done correctly, your computer will be upgraded to Windows 10.
