Error encountered while installing the Xbox app installer.
Hello, I'm experiencing the most frustrating day ever with the Xbox app issue. I bought the Xbox Game Pass a few hours ago without installing the app, but I realized I need it to download games. Initially, I tried downloading the app from the Microsoft Store, but nothing changed—just the "Downloading" button stuck. After restarting my PC, it appeared on my library but displayed a "cross" sign during installation. I became really upset.
Next, I visited the Xbox website to download it manually and began installing. This time it got stuck in "making things awesome," and nothing happened for a while. Eventually, it started showing some problems. I then searched online for "xbox app not installing" and followed several guides. One suggested checking the Microsoft Store cache and another mentioned an error code 0x80073d02. I tried fixing that using a specific wintips article, but after following the steps, the issue persisted.
I'm facing the same problem with Windows 10 Pro version 20H2, build 19042.746. After checking for updates, everything still appeared up to date, yet nothing worked. I'm starting to feel really frustrated and even a little emotional because I already paid and can't play any games. Do you have any suggestions or solutions?
is windows 10 pro activated and genuine? what are your hardware specifications? looking like you have hardware issues. [SOLVED] - "Scanning and repairing C: drive" i noticed a startup screen displaying "Scanning and repairing C: drive." i didn't know how it began, but i wanted it to shut down. after watching some youtube videos, there was a cmd command indicating my c: drive is "dirty". i followed every step to clean it, but it still doesn't work. forums.
Not genuine but activated
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB (3200) (16*2)
Motherboard: Asus TUF x570
Storage: Samsung 970 EVO (512 GB) (Nvme M.2 SSD)
Drive: Seagate Berracuda 2TB (3.5")
GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3070 OC (8GB)
Power Supply: Gigabyte 750W
I did, and all of my issues were resolved. Not a joke, it's true. I wasn't installing because I wasn't certain if my files would remain, but eventually it was done. At startup, the recovery drive displayed 100% and never returned, so now I can download from the Microsoft Store. Thanks for your assistance.
