The folder in question is located at D:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SpartaUWP_9.8.0.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe. It holds the GOW4 game files from a previous installation. Before upgrading to Windows, I had them on my drive and followed the recommended steps. Now I’m stuck because I need admin rights to remove them. Reformatting the disk isn’t an option since there are over 11,000 photos stored there, and I don’t want to lose them. I’m looking for any advice on how to delete this folder without backing up everything or risking data loss.

Run the system in safe mode, otherwise use a bootable Linux USB drive.

Instead, begin removing files or folders gradually, one by one, until you identify which items remain active according to Windows' status

Set your access rights by selecting the folder, choosing Properties, navigating to Security, then Advanced. Under Owner settings, click Change, locate your account, and confirm by selecting Administrators or Everyone. Add your account to the list and grant full permissions. Click OK on each step to finalize. You should now have the ability to remove it.

Choose what you prefer. You decide which option to remove. Currently, at this moment, the default allows only SYSTEM access, which corresponds to Windows. In simpler terms, Windows is the sole entity capable of removing it, and you can perform this action through the Settings panel.
