Hi, I'm working on setting up a hackintosh and running into some problems. I followed the tutorial video you shared to make the bootable drive. I also added the USBInjectAll.kext, GenericUSBXHCI.kext, and FakeSMC.kext files into the "other" folder inside "kexts." I swapped in the config.plst file with the generic version from step 5 here: https://markwithtech.com/thread-1.html. After connecting the USB and booting, the Apple logo showed up with a loading bar that reached halfway, then a blank screen appeared in the middle (see the photo). What might be causing this? Did the video skip a crucial step? Are there other guides or videos you should check out? Your system specs are: Intel Core i9-9900K at 3.6 GHz, Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I motherboard, Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB RAM, MSI Radeon RX VEGA 64 with 8 GB VRAM, and a Corsair SF 750W power supply.

My prediction is that macOS likely doesn't yet support Vega drivers, though I could be mistaken—possibly due to a motherboard incompatibility. I recommend researching hardware compatibility (a trusted resource in the Hackintosh scene is https://www.tonymacx86.com/) and consider buying compatible gear if you can't use your existing setup. If you find out you lack suitable hardware, it would be wise to proceed with this alternative approach.

I verified that the components work with MacOS. I also noted the Samsung 970 EVO MVMe M.2 2TB drive is installed inside. It’s possible it’s impacting performance. My setup now shows a black screen displaying the Apple logo instead of a boot message, unlike before. Could you suggest ways to resolve this issue?

To get detailed output, run the program with the -v flag and request the message or a video.

Hackingtosh resembles operating Android on a jailbroken iOS device (hackers have achieved this), though performance and usability are compromised.

You encountered an issue with UniBeast during the verbose process.

It seems to start up correctly, but the performance is subpar. UniBeast may have some issues.

I explored additional configurations in detailed mode and noticed the installation halts at a specific stage when accessing the USB drive (created via UniBeast). It appears there may be an issue or freezing behavior. The boot-up screen displays "Welcome to Clover 4920," which suggests this release might be outdated. Since you're new to hackintosh, consider proceeding with a vanilla install if possible. Please share any guidance you find helpful. Thank you!

Hi, great news! I followed the same guide using my motherboard, and it worked perfectly. I managed to install MacOS Mojave without any issues so far. The power monitor showed my GPU isn’t being utilized much—its frequency stays at 0, only slightly increasing under heavy load to about 5%. That’s interesting; does MacOS not use the dedicated GPU unless needed? Thanks for the help!
