Following the unexpected failure of my previous motherboard, strange occurrences followed. I replaced it with a new unit featuring EZ Debug LEDs. After installation and configuration, it still wouldn’t boot. The LED indicators pointed to a CPU problem, so I removed the processor to investigate further. During removal, the cooler tore the CPU away. My younger sibling suggested using force instead of sliding the CPU out, which led me to manually pry it off. After extraction, I dropped the CPU about 30 cm onto a glass table. Over the next couple of hours, I bent roughly ten pins on the AMD CPU until it seated properly. While doing so, none broke—even those at nearly a 90-degree angle. I reinserted it, applied less thermal paste to the cooler, and attempted a boot. Still no luck. I inspected the pins thoroughly, even cleaning them with an old toothbrush and isopropyl, but nothing was missing. The CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, running at a stable 4.20GHz. The motherboard claims compatibility, but I’m concerned it might be damaged from the drop. Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.
