Hi everyone. I just installed a new computer and replaced all components, including the OEM HP 3070. I have a Gigabyte x870 motherboard and a Samsung G51C 32" monitor connected through DisplayPort in the GPU. When the monitor shuts down automatically via Windows power-saving mode, it fails to locate the display when I attempt to wake it. This forces me to turn off the computer completely and restart it. The monitor turns on when I press the keyboard or mouse, but then it stays black and switches between DisplayPort and HDMI connections while trying to establish a video stream. I’ve disabled all power-saving settings except the automatic display shutdown in both Windows and the UEFI on my motherboard. As of February 20th or 21st, NVIDIA released an updated driver that claimed to resolve this issue, but it didn’t help. This problem doesn’t occur with my previous setup using the same GPU and monitors, leading me to think it might be related to Windows 11 (which I recently upgraded) or my motherboard itself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. There’s a similar forum thread, but none of the suggestions worked for me.

Join the discussions! This might relate to a DP Deep Sleep issue—check the OSD for clues. A faulty cable could be the cause; consider using a DUU and reinstalling drivers. If that doesn’t help, a clean Windows installation might be necessary.

You can locate the monitor through Device Manager and adjust the power settings via the Windows checkbox. Consider using a live Linux USB to test, and explore the sleep/wake features there. It seems possible updates might be involved, though pinpointing the exact cause could be challenging. Good luck!
