Error encountered when trying to activate Windows after returning from Windows 10.
I recently attempted to upgrade to Windows 10, as many advised switching from Windows 7. After updating, my PC became very slow and unresponsive. I received an activation code for Windows 10 Pro, but it didn’t work properly. Upon trying Windows 7 again, the system displayed a warning about lacking a valid copy. Initially, a watermark appeared on the bottom right, but I found a tutorial showing how to temporarily bypass it using CMD commands. After about three months of using that workaround, the issue resurfaced. My PC was originally purchased in 2016 when Windows 7 was still dominant. Could you help? I had a legitimate Windows 7 installation!
Did you get your Windows 7 key from the laptop or a pre-made copy? That could be the problem. Make sure the key is accurate and there are no misspellings. Also, using an upgrade rather than a clean install might have caused the performance issues. As someone with a Windows 10 laptop from 2016, this is something to consider.
