Hey! I recently assembled a PC with a Gigabyte B365M DS3H Wi-Fi, an i7 9700KF, 16GB Corsair LPX DDR4 (2x8 at 2400MHz), a 1000W Seasonic, a 1TB SiliconPower A60 NVMe M.2, a GTX 1080 Ti, and an EVGA SC2. I’m facing tough issues installing Windows 10 from a USB drive onto the 1TB M.2. Whenever I boot from the USB, it loads a full rotation of the little dots and then crashes with blue screens, error codes, and weird exceptions. It keeps throwing codes like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, read-only memory attempts, and kernel mode issues. My i3 8100 works fine with Windows, but the i7 seems problematic. I updated my BIOS to F2DM and suspect both the motherboard and processor might be the issue. The B365M Gigabyte board appears to be IBUYPOWER exclusive, and I bought it from eBay with a return option. Every time I try to boot Windows, I hit BIOS settings or get stuck in legacy mode instead of UEFI. Rufus works but shows I’m booting into BIOS/legacy mode even though the BIOS is set to UEFI. Consider starting fresh with the bootable media. Given you're using Rufus, it's likely the Windows installer file is missing. Redownloading it could resolve any issues. Also, test with another USB port to ensure the problem isn't specific to one port. UPD: Using a different USB drive is also recommended.
For amusement, experiment with flashing any Linux distribution as if it were Ubuntu. If it fails, it might indicate a deeper system problem rather than a software issue. Concerning the specifications, search online for details—there could be compatibility issues with the 9th generation Intel processors.
